AFFALé
SHELL CHAIR
2025

Without trying to reinvent it, Affalé questions the way we seat by redefining the constraint that the chair imposes on its user. The shell is an asymmetrical and fluid invitation to sit, suspended over the ground through a minimalist steel base.

[a-fa-le]

To let yourself fall on something,

to remain collapsed on it.

Life is like music, it must be composed by
the ear, feeling and instinct, not by rule

CONCEPTUAL IDEA

Sitting as a natural gesture

Humans sit everywhere, in every way, on steps, streets and floors. When they do sit on chairs, they often do so in ways the designer didn't intend, their organic instincts clashing with imposed constraints.

DESIGNER'S THOUGHTS

A piece made for living

Furniture is built to experience life, to change in use and evolve as its owners grow. The moment it's made, it leaves the designer's realm and becomes part of individual lives.
